Happy Jets win in a convincing style. I’m off today so I re-watched the game. Even in the first half the Bung-holes were not wrapping up. I think they were playing a bit of possum. Hopefully Jets don’t think of themselves the way they did after they were 3-0.

The postgame locker room video coverage was sick. They were all happy and S and were going into their celebratory huddle in the locker room when D Woody butted in and told everyone to shut up. He then said something like “take this in and shit and all, but remember this is a new season where we only have one fucking goal…and that is the hardwear…the fucking vince lombardi trophy…”

I’m glad on a roster of postseason virgins a 2 times SB winner usurped the coach and thomas jones to recalibrate the postgame huddle. Much needed.

I like the part where the brother taunts her by saying “What are you gonna do? Tell Mom and Dad I uploaded your d*ck sucking list on Facebook? Go ahead.”

    roffelz

That made me laugh, too. I can’t imagine hating my brother enough to rat to my parents about beer. But I probably wouldn’t have committed a hook-up list to paper, either! ;-)

i agree the bengals were playing possum to some degree, but we’ll see. jets lines were dominating.

no way that, or injuries/rested players, accounts for a 37-point differential. between jets o-line and #1 D, bungles should be very concerned about next week.

It is no secret that Snyder admires Shanahan. The two men have known each other since the late 1990s, when they attended the same Pro Bowl, stayed in the same hotel in Hawaii, and wound up having dinner together one night. Since then, the two men have remained in contact and have had a friendly relationship.

Burke names Chris Drury to Team USA? Huh? I’d take Gomez before Drury, but not by much. The bigger snubs are Brian Gionta and Mike Modano.

Another good one. I do kind of wonder, with the lack of center depth, why Gomez didn’t make the team though. Gionta can suck my dick though.

Gomez is pretty terrible again this year. The ex-Devils kind of remind me of the ex-A’s from the early 2000’s, good on that team but once they leave for the big bucks they suck completely.

I don’t like Drury on the Rangers, but he will serve a role on the US team and maybe he’ll conjure up some of the pride that won him a LLWS.

CAROLINA, Puerto Rico — Carlos Delgado went 1-for-4 Sunday night in his first game since undergoing hip surgery in May, an injury that ended his season with the New York Mets.

The free agent slugger batted cleanup as the designated hitter for the Carolina Giants in Puerto Rico’s winter league. His single came on a fly ball to short left field in the sixth inning.

“I felt better than I expected, for the time I spent without playing. I hadn’t seen live pitching since May,” he said. “The most important thing is this was a step in the right direction.”

“I’m not afraid of sliding. I’ve done it as part of my rehabilitation process,” he said.

The 37-year-old first baseman played in only 26 games during the last season of his contract with the Mets before he was sidelined by a hip injury. He was batting .298 with four homers and 23 RBIs when he went on the disabled list on May 11. He had surgery on May 19.

For the first time ever, the top 20 picks in the NFL Draft will be made up exclusively of teams that didn’t make the playoffs. The playoff teams will make up the final 12 picks, depending on results.

Ties in record are broken by strength of schedule. Ties in strength of schedule can be broken by division or conference tiebreakers, but those weren’t applicable in the top 20 this year.

Three ties will be determined later based on a coin flip. We’ve starred any picks that still need a coin flip. Here goes:

    1. St. Louis (1-15)
    2. Detroit (2-14)
    3. Tampa Bay (3-13)
    4. Washington (4-12)
    5. Kansas City (4-12)
    6. Seattle (5-11)
    7. Cleveland (5-11)
    8. Oakland (5-11)
    9. Buffalo (6-10)
10t. Denver (Traded from Chicago) (7-9)
    10t. Jacksonville (7-9)
    12. Miami (7-9)
    13. San Francisco (8-8)
    14. Seattle (Traded from Denver) (8-8)
    15. New York Giants (8-8)
    16t. Tennessee (8-8)
16t. San Francisco (Traded from Carolina) (8-8)
    18. Pittsburgh (9-7)
    19t. Atlanta (9-7)
    19t. Houston (9-7)

Picks 21-24 will be the wild card round losers. Picks 25-28 will be the divisional round losers. Picks 29-30 will be the conference championship losers. Pick 31 will be the Super Bowl loser. Pick 32 will be the Super Bowl winner.

    rrealba may disagree! LOL

with that exception perhaps, who else have the Mets staff ever turned down? And didn’t Torrealba play the whole season….unlike Mr. Putz.

We may be getting close to the point where Omar decides to move on from Molina and give Torrealba or Barajas a look.

I’d still rather a trade for a C than any of the FAs.

I mean, it could be dead for a variety of reasons, it’s a pretty nondescript error. I’ve heard of hard drives dead (which is easily fixable) among other things. Generally, though, it means total system failure. That shock you felt was probably a static discharge that fried the motherboard.

How can we sign Torrealba? Doesn’t he have a law suit pending or something? Guess this could make it go away!

  118. Comment posted by Joe A. on January 4, 2010 at 12:01 pm (#1129893)

Didn’t Blanco basically fail his physical? But we signed him anyway, just for less money.

clearly adjusting contracts based on the discovery of pre-existing physical conditions is not the same as failing!

    clearly! :P

Doc and Chico were saying the US C will go to Drury or Langenbrunner. BigUgh on both counts. I mean, I love Jamie n all, but his hockey skills are on the downs, except for the laser shot. He’s getting by on smarts.

Good thing the Mets didn’t get stuck with that 1% of population in Mike Lowell.

Whoa, Sheehan is leaving Prospectus. Kahrl and Goldstein and the occasional Silver are the only ones left worth reading there.

    SEE YA MARTY!

Wrong move, trade Rolo. He’s proved he can be a starter while Biron has been better as a backup. Unless of course they’re worried about DP getting injured again and the job revert backs to Rolo. Maybe the next NHL10 update will give you a real goalie to play with.
