Good luck, dude. I’d give you my friends and family UO discount card but I’d have to be there for that.

Plus that strategy probably doesn’t work for you EiW since if I recall your wife is an attorney?

    she is

I think I win maybe (MAYBE) one “discussion” a year.

And yes, the house does at least allow for more space to “hide”

The best is that if there is a “discussion” that leads to separate bedrooms, the wife always leaves the master bedroom to me.

probably because the bed in the other room is a twin, and I have a hard time sleeping on a twin. The wife, being petitte, has no such issue.

My advise to you is to get cable in the other rooms, at least one of them, PRONTO!!!!!

Did you guys read Teddy Dzuiba’s piece in Mack’s Mets yesterday? His is the first article I’ve read that lends credence to the Los Mets thing. I don’t know if he’s credible or bitter about the Mets, but what he was saying about Bernazard’s preference for Latinos in the minors and how the rest was treated was disturbing. I hope Wogan sets things right.

The best was that after she dropped me off at the train this morning, she told me that she’s thinking of going to Woodbury Commons (big shopping outlet outside of NYC) so she can look for a gift for her dad. What are the odds that she comes back with just a gift for her dad?

Just wanted to wish all a Merry Christmas. Hope Santa is good to everyone.

In her shoes, I wouldn’t want to give you the satisfaction of being right. So I’d probably be more cautious about money and spend less than normal.

    From the Post:

    Way to be, Mets.

I have to pick up a gift certificate for my dad and I have a couple presents still in the mail but I’m essentially done. Got Lorraine a bike trainer which I had to carry all the way home from work yesterday which sucked.

I had a ticket rep call me, but he was not confrontational. Told me he would help me change seats…whatever I needed. He was actually quite nice even after I said thanks so much, but I’m not going to be renewing. Told me if I changed my mind to feel free to call him for whatever help I needed.
I think some fans are so fed up, they make stuff up at this point. Not that I think some ticket agents might not have said that, but I doubt it was on scripted by the Mets.

That grand slam single game was so over-rated. What was the series at? Yet nobody talks of Agbayani’s 12th inning walk-off in game 3 of a 1-1 series. Pathetic team, pathetic fans…..

We were down 3-1 in the series, I believe.

Yeah, but their team is run ineptly, squanders what financial resources they have (Jason Kendall anyone? Jack Wilson?), and refuses to give fans anything back. They’re inept in the front office, inept in the coaching staff, and generally inept in the field.

I have 69 and 86 firmly stored in the memory banks. Enough? No. But they help on these kinds of days.

I believe it was, at the time, the first time a team that had been down 3-0 in a series, had made it 3-2?

    its all true

    the team is run badly

but i still say the lack of resources is a huge problem

yea, pirate fans can be mad at mgmt, but they can also still afford tickets. its just a different scale , for everything.

It is. But the one thing I can say about the Mets is that they at least try to win, however stupid they are at it. The Pirates, at least until the very recent regime, clearly had no desire to win. They were just worried about staying in the black.

Well, except for the fact they have a history AND a better stadium.

Yeah but you have to live or at least be in Pittsburgh to appreciate both. And it’s a Big Ben/Sidney town these days and for the foreseeable future anyway. Unless Mario finally kicks Sid out of his house for nailing his wife.
