which situation will lead you to give up less runs?

    1) facing derek jeter with 1st and 2nd, 2 out

    or

    2) facing mariano rivera with bases loaded, 2 out

    I cannot believe the stupidity.

    NOT SURPRISED.

Though I agree with the strategy of walking Jeter, and do NOT want to hear Jerry throw KRod under the bus after the game, to excuse his own abject douchebagitude.

You’re right TLC. It’s hard enough playing with all these injuries but it’s downright impossible with Jerry because he uses the same people over and over again so the bench is even shorter.

Sorry, I twisted my ankle badly and was just icing it and put the computer down.

  52. Comment posted by MyFavoriteBaseballSquadron on June 28, 2009 at 11:44 pm (#1021692)

Why do I think that bases loaded walk won’t matter. Or it means as much as if Rivera pulled a Felix Hernandez off of Santana? Why does this organization think that .500 is this magical barrier that only when you drop below that you need outside help? Look at the lineup they trot out there and look at their June record and tell me why it only takes them dropping below half/half to spark a change?

  53. Comment posted by JTR on June 28, 2009 at 11:45 pm (#1021693)

you know pat i understand that should have been caught but if you want to be labeled the best closer in the game you have to overcome that…….he didn’t have to walk the next batter or WALK THE FUCKING OPPOSING CLOSER! just like castillo’s drop, does he have to give up a leadoff hit to jeter ? …..K Rod for all his saves and i would not want many others closers on my team never ever has a 1-2-3 inning.

There’s nothing to do this year, the team is just flat out cursed. Even our scrubs can’t even play up to their scrub level, our scubs are bad even for themselves.

Cora is in a tailspin. He isn’t a starter and his value went into the shitter.

Here’s Cora. Let’s see if he can do something positive with the bat.

First pitch and he weakly hits a meatball to the right side of the infield. Game over.

Jerry ran Cora into the ground, guess Wilson Valdez couldn’t be kept around.

    4. Being outscored by the Yankees 44-17 in 6 games.
    5. Dropping to .500

I am actually almost glad the tickets that the wife’s colleague was hooking us up with got lost by FedEx so I wouldn’t have to watch this POS game and then deal with Yankees fans on the subway and get home at 1 AM.

    Rivera - 500 saves
    Rivera - 1st ML RBI
Wang - 1st win of season.

    What a night - What a team

i understand why omar isnt going to make any bigs deals and i agree with him for that, but lets start making some other changes, i can deal with F! striking out like he did, Church (and i am a church supporter) has not looked good either, who else do we have jeremy reed, ok whatever….but my main issue is murphy…..they thought this guy was going to be so good with his bat his flaws defensively wouldn’t matter…well now he is screwing up @ first base….but then again what other options do we have….tatis at 1st, or remember jeremy reed there too….i dare anyone to name me more better trades then bad ones made by omar….i am being to hate this whole organization except for the name the colors and most of the players

  90. Comment posted by MyFavoriteBaseballSquadron on June 29, 2009 at 12:12 am (#1021718)

There Is so little that this team seems to do right on nights like these that it’s a wonder how teams manage to lose to them.
