    Fabio Castro-R-Phillies Aug. 28 - 3:12 pm et

Phillies recalled LHP Fabio Castro from Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
Castro will be making his season debut after going 8-4 with a 4.71 ERA and 105/52 K/BB ratio in 120 1/2 innings between Double-A and Triple-A. He made 18 starts and 12 relief appearances in the minors, but will pitch in middle relief for the Phillies initially.

    Andrew Carpenter-R-Phillies Aug. 28 - 3:10 pm et

Phillies optioned RHP Andrew Carpenter to Double-A Reading.
Carpenter was with the team for just 24 hours, as the Phillies wanted an extra arm available following Tuesday night’s 14-inning game.

Here’s the record of these teams in games decided after the sixth inning (meaning the score was tied after six, or the lead changed): Phillies 31-15, Mets 11-22. Nobody we’ve talked to thinks that stat is an aberration.

“One part of it, obviously, is the difference in bullpens,” one scout said. “But the other part of it is heart. I love the Phillies’ grit. And now that [Jimmy] Rollins is hitting again, they’re the team to beat again.”

I just wanted to laugh at this again.

Excelsior 309, and they want $115/ticket for seats that appear to be worse than the ones I have. Ooh, I’m sure exclusive access to the climate controlled “Excelsior Club” will be worth the extra cost.

And WTF do they have doing their marketing, Stan Lee?

I actually watched the original 70s italian flick a few weeks ago. pretty terrible but kinda funny. Fred Williamson is kinda awesome

i heard its gonna be bigtime in terms of budget and the script is supposedly amazing. He wants some major stars like brad pitt and the such but we’ll see. he’s kinda crazy and changes his mind all the time.
