Just awful…no other way to describe it…the game was lost a long time ago, though…offense shut down for 9 innings…and Schneider is supposed to catch that ball in the 9th. Good thing Yo-Yo is on the mound tomorrow…win and the Mets are back to where they were before tonight.

We have gotten over a ton of injuries this year. How would most teams do with losing their number 2(Pedro) and 3 starter(Maine) and closer. If we win it will be earned.
The starter gave back 5 and only lasted 5 innings. This was not a implosion or meltdown; this was a game the offense NEEDED to do more than what they did. Normally, I’d agree with it falling on the bullpen, but, the offense looked anemic after the 4th inning.

That one out in the 9th was a whole 2 game swing. Now we have to win 2 and have the phillies lose 2 to go back up 1.5 games. That last out is the difference between the phillies winning the divison last yr and us losing it by 1 game. That last out would give the mets the divison by 1 game instead of the phills. All the phills wins against the mets this yr, are late comebacks and late innings wins.
