John Maine vs Brandon Backe

(Baseball-Reference.com Preview)

Eric Simon has far too much time on his hands. He sleeps upside-down, keeps people as pets, and can be found on the internets at Amazin' Avenue or bothered directly at eric@metsgeek.com.

Well, at least he didn’t ground out nude

Good news for him, but he deprived his fans of a treat, maybe. Then again it might look undignified.

Maybe they could have some kind of strip-poker rule where if you agree to take off your top you get awarded second. Ah, let’s not pursue this further.

Jerry suffers from the same retarded delusion that only a certain type of player should hit second in the order.

Forget balance, we can’t have Argenis’ black hole of offense hitting second in the order.

Not like it mattered that much tonight, but it might have changed things a little bit.

    Just stumbled upon this place.

LOL. You guys need to realize that numbers can’t tell the whole story. Baseball is about energy, passion, poise and toughness. Can you quantify that kinda stuff? I didn’t think so. Expecting Argenis Reyes to put up big statistics “OBPSP” or whatever it is, well that’s SO not understand the reason he’s here. Argenis provides a winning attitude. Like Jerry says, he’s always in the middle of rallies. His energy and exuberance are a welcome addition to this ballclub.

^That’s the type of nonsense that the geniuses I usually deal with spout off. The next person who tells me that Arg has value that can’t be measured by numbers because he is a “gamer” will the person who leads me to shoot myself.

How many rallies has he been a part of with the Mets that involved 1) a hit 2) a walk by Argenis Reyes. A play in which he reached base when it wasn’t due to an error.

Define always in the middle of rallies? Because he’s not a part of most of them.

T Pac, shoot the other guy. Why shoot yourself?
