We just have to face that these guys are just bad managers, employed by a rogue ownership who employs Omar Minaya.

    lol

hahah Yeah, Reyes had a big game for Willie’s swan song.

That game should be counted for Jerry because Jose caught wind of Willie’s fireing before the game so it was more of a celebration that Willie would no longer be the manager. :P

Im saying the media does this Athena. They are the first to put blame on Reyes when things go bad. If he just slumps a little or goes hitless during a stretch its the first stat you see on Mike@Maddog or Espn. Not sure why but they do.

hell yeah I feathered my weave! Halloween, 1983, Theresa Minzer told me it looked cool….totally frenched her.

    Hee hee, Tim! So funny!

My best friend spent half his time feathering his hair. Now he has a 10 year super jock with hair down to his shoulders (an awesome baseball player.

My friend is constantly complaining about his son’s hair. I don’t even have to say anything anymore. Just raise one eyebrow. ;-)

kids have some pretty dumb looking cuts nowadays. That Emo Swoop that covers the eyes would be worth a beating back in my day.

No doubt Nye. My Fade and 3 shaved slits on each eyebrow in 1989 was way better.

And I agree with that part. But it’s stretching the point to say that the media will give David more credit if they win. Up until his extremely over-hyped slump, Jose was feted and praised, much like Wright the previous year. Remember the All-Star game? And like Wright, who stopped hitting HR’s in late 2006, the media turned on him as soon as it realized that a fall from grace story makes just as good copy as a young phenom story.

I’m not pretending that Jose isn’t treated differently than David, he clearly is. I just think that it cuts more than one way. They are very different guys, with completely different media temperaments, in addition to their different ethnicities.

Well. Hate to rant and run, but I think I’m going to do something girlie and take myself shoe shopping. See y’all during the game!

In their annual Best Tools Survey, Baseball America named Daniel Murphy as the “best batting prospect” in the Eastern League and Nick Evans as the league’s “best defensive first baseman.

They are little late to the party, but it was from a survey of managers that BA put out yesterday.
