No, that was the chick from Man on Fire and Con Air.

    What’s the matter????

    Steroids made ya deaf!??!?!?!

You see, I always thought the GI Joe cartoon jumped the shark after Serpentor came into the series so I saw the movie once and forgot a bit about it.

I would also add Gargamel and Flinthart Gongold to the list of great 1980s cartoon villains.

yea, serpentor was a bit out there. i have to say, i did dig how they went around for DNA from the world’s greatest conquerors to make serpentor. that was cool IMO

i liked the movie. not bad not bad

(obligatory) SWEEP THE LEG, JOHNNY, SWEEP THE LEG! (/obligatory)

(Sweep the leg is the name of my softball team :))

That sounds more like a My Fair Lady than a Pygamalion myth them. But I see the connection…

Sort of the same thing, Ramon. My Fair Lady is a musical based on the play Pgymalion, by George Bernard Shaw, which is, in turn, titled in an allusion to the Pygmalion/Galatea myth.

That was cool idea. When i was a kid I got souped up for Serperntor and then I was like…eh…when he came out. He wasn’t megalomaniacal the way Cobra Commander was. In fact, who is as megalomanaical as the commander???

that wasnt ventura though, it was the big ruskie looking security guard of richard dawson

HAHAHA! That’s right! That was the dude from Gladiator. Titus the Goth!

Drago clearly wins. he’s got the whole US v USSR thing behind him.

Clubba Lang was just a huge pissed off black man who wanted to show Adrian what a real man was like!

    cant compare the two!

The thing is that Drago was really a pawn of the Soviet state. He was just a product of their athletic system which pumped their athletes with steroids and drove them to insane heights to compete in the name of communism. So, I don’t know if he was all that bad. Even when he killed Apollo Creed it wasn’t out of malice as much as that he was taking orders from his superiors. And when he killed him, he just declared that if Creed died then he died.

But Clubber Lang was a bad mo-fo. He was Stagger Lee bad. He was a sadistic, cocky, and hyper-aggressive man who loved to dish out punishment for the fun of it. Besides, Lang has one of the baddest exchanges in all of the 1980s.

Reporter: What is your prediction for the fight?

Lang: Prediction? [Looks at camera] Pain.

right right, but i guess what he stood for might be what people view as part of the villainy……ooooh evil commies n all that.

    Chet!

Whoever came up with his name was so right. What a jerk. I loved Bill Paxon in that role. He was so obnoxious. Anyone who has been bullied by their older brother understands this type of villain.

BTW, an honorable mention should go out to the T-800 from the first Terminator.

  25. Comment posted by Dep on July 22, 2008 at 5:35 pm (#775068)

you see they got some austrian bodybuilder guy, who kinda looks like ahnold, playing one of the T800’s in the new flick

    interesting

right right, but i guess what he stood for might be what people view as part of the villainy……ooooh evil commies n all that.

But you know he found some redemption when he rebelled against the commie system at the end after the obnoxious Soviet boss calls an idiot and tells him to win before the last round and he takes the dude by the neck and lifts him up to declare that “I fights for me!”

i still love the ####ing music so much. that one drum beat makes your heart race any time you hear it

That music is the music of the apolcalypse to me. Fer real. It just inspires this idea of racing against inevitable doom to me…I have to see more to get into the new Terminator movie though. The trailer had promise but I need to know where McG wants to go with this franchise before I sign up…

    Rutger Hauer in The Hitcher

    Chucky!

They mentioned the Chuckster. But Rutger Hauer deserves definate mentioning for the Hitcher. He was stone cold nasty in that film when he makes his victims tell him they want to die. Also, Rutger Hauer in Blade Runner also deserves mention. Hauer is a very underrated villain…

  36. Comment posted by Squadron Nye on July 22, 2008 at 5:41 pm (#775079)

Drago wasn’t unlikeable. The crowd cheering USA USA at the end was over the top cheese in a way only Sly could acheive.

    You are ON FIRE!

he also played the boyfriend (jack) in european vacation!!!!!

Doesn’t he cheat on Audrey while she is away? So, he could be seen as a villain. Also, what about Ted Knight Caddyshack? I thought he was a major ass there.

  40. Comment posted by Squadron Nye on July 22, 2008 at 5:44 pm (#775083)

I love when clark says he’s gonna cut his nuts off when he gets home cuz of Audrey’s phone bill…classic s**t

Ted Knight from Caddy is a great call. He was truly villainous! his daughter was soooo fine though!
