Yes. We certainly need another corner OF. Sexson as a platoon partner w/Delgado who can occasionally play, experimentally, in LF.
I could live with that. As long as Omar didn’t think this was the solution to the outfield.
BTW, do the Phillies ever travel or do they play every game at home? Seems like they’ve been in Philly for a month already.

“I was two places this week. I was in Aspen, Colorado, with a jet set, and in rural Iowa!!!” - Bobo Brooks

I read Brooks when I need a good laugh. I mean not like gas isn’t $4.20+ in much of the country, food and electricity don’t cost a fortune more than it did in 2007 and people aren’t get laid off and such. But hey he’s still make a 6 figure salary to sit in DC and write garbage about how Obama is not authentic or whatever the talking points are. Kristol I would like to take long walk off a short pier.

Well, la-di-dah for Mr. Brooks. How egalitarian of him to rub elbows with the riff and raff in rural Iowa…lol!

Kristol, a fellow Collegiate School alum, is so clearly not even half the intellect his limited father was. The guy gets a pass, and ppl listen to him and nod their heads (even if they disagree) as if what he says makes sense, but it’s usually spurious pseudo-analysis. The guy has happily assumed the hastily abandoned position of neo-con cheerleader (read: empty suit, shill). He’s just not smart. In fact, he’s a fucking fool.
Brooks is a little more insidious. He tends to give off the appearance of being moderate or “centrist.” But his columns consistently fete the good American consuming subject. All Brooks wants to do is spend money and buy fancy things and be around other people w/nice frames on their glasses and two or three houses who also like to spend money and talk about how good the wine selection at Stew Leonard’s was this week. FUCKING YUPPIE SCUM X 100000000000

I have no doubt that off-camera David Brooks would like nothing better in the world than to get invited to dinner by the Obamas. He worships the “rags-to-Ivies” set like they were Christs resurrected. He has to trash his authenticity because of his National Review hangover. But he’s politically w/out direction, IMO. Brooks just loves ppl who seem smart and collected and with walking around money.

While we’re talking about NYT columnists, well, I wouldn’t mind kicking Thomas Friedman in the nuts either.

I like Friedman, he wants America to be innovative, I can respect that. Is he bit to wonkish and idealistic, yeah, but his agenda doesn’t strike me bad.
