Who would you promote over him??? But I agree. I wish Omar were making the same type of changes here.

The Edmonton Oilers have traded Raffi Torres to the Blue Jackets in exchange for enigma Gilbert Brule.

    Ah, Raffi Torres.

Remember when fans would cry about his being traded Dep?

I think, at this point, I’d be happier with Castro and Casanova as the battery. Wouldn’t you?

Fucking Costco Optical pissed me off last night.

I ordered new contacts, gave them the scrip, the woman said to me “oh, it hasn’t changed”. Yet she still put in “10″ instead of “100″ for one part of the scrip, making the lenses USELESS.

Thankfully I had 1 left for that eye, otherwise I was gonna be screwed, no lenses, and no glasses (which I dropped off to have new lenses put in).

The New York Islanders have placed forward Shawn Bates on waivers with the intention to buyout the remaining season of his contract with the organization. A member of the team since the 2001-02 season, Bates finishes his Islanders career playing in 320 games and scored 58 goals with 112 assists for 170 points.

doug weight is still a valuable guy…he’s a winner….he’s pretty gritty and a good locker room guy. He is still decent on the faceoff too me tinks. I like him a lot. Plus I saw him at a BestBuy playing Madden with a bunch of kids ( and some adults) and that makes him a good en’ in my book.

  35. Comment posted by Dep on July 1, 2008 at 5:56 pm (#747205)

    Reyes (ss)

tht’s a decent lineup…..why can’t we face those b or c teams you had out there a couple of weeks ago? But, I guess we got lucky missing yo-yo mas start.

  39. Comment posted by Ed in Westchester 2.0 is an optimistic yahoo on July 1, 2008 at 6:00 pm (#747208)

It’s a pretty sad state of affairs, when our current hopes rest on what the Phillies aren’t doing, instead of what the Mets are doing. sigh!

Couldn’t believe I just saw the Loudmouths jockeying for Reyes to be traded now too. I’m sorry, but that is just ridiculous.

  45. Comment posted by Dep on July 1, 2008 at 7:03 pm (#747215)
