I was pissed before the season started. I was saying it everyday: keeping Willie was a bad idea…the whole Front Office and him…their relationship was poisoned.

I’ve come around on Willie some and don’t think he should be fired for this fiasco. But now he needs to be fired so this organization can start over.

Everyone needs to be fired besides Rick Peterson on the coaching staff. They need to start over from there. All these guys are all scurrying trying to keep their jobs instead of doing their jobs. Omar included.

Fox 5 Las Vegas reports that Raiders WR Javon Walker was found unconscious with an “orbital fracture” on Flamingo Boulevard just off the Las Vegas strip early Monday morning.
We caution that no other source has reported the news yet. Police reportedly don’t know how he got the fracture, but he was listed in fair condition at an area hospital Monday. The Las Vegas Review Journal spotted Walker Saturday night at the Wynn spraying Dom Perignon Rose champagne he ordered. Jun. 16 - 8:28 pm et

they were incredible in weekend series all year long… their low ranking was from a lot of bad losses on tues/weds to bad teams. they beat almost all the good squads, and bleich is pitching as well as he has in years right now. well, not today, but on saturday. and they have much pop.

  37. Comment posted by Dep Wearing A Brown Bag on June 16, 2008 at 8:53 pm (#728317)

    LOL

“My only message is simple. The National League needs to join the 21st century,” Steinbrenner said in Tampa, Fla. “They need to grow up and join the 21st century.

“Am I [mad] about it? Yes,” Steinbrenner added. “I’ve got my pitchers running the bases, and one of them gets hurt. He’s going to be out. I don’t like that, and it’s about time they address it. That was a rule from the 1800s.”

Making a rare appearance on the bases at an NL park, Wang pulled up rounding third and hobbled home on Derek Jeter’s single. Wang doubled over after scoring, pointed toward his right foot and was helped off the field.

“This is always a concern of American League teams when their pitchers have to run the bases and they’re not used to doing it,” Steinbrenner said. “It’s not just us. It’s everybody. It probably should be a concern for National League owners, general managers and managers when their pitchers run the bases. Pitchers have enough to do without having to do that.”

Cry me a f**king river. Wang could have just as easily hurt himself running to cover first base on a ground ball. Of course, you’d be bitching about the need for designated fielders then.

    Hank,
We all like fat roided fucks like Giambi who can’t move collect large checks for hitting 4 times a game and the team not suffering any negative consequences for. That makes for brilliant sport. Of course your pitcher couldn’t run 360 feet with out hurting his foot, while non-athletes go running all the time and manage to keep their feet intact.

  57. Comment posted by sheadenizen on June 16, 2008 at 9:13 pm (#728336)

Do the Phillies ever not score a ton of runs? What the hell are they averaging…. 12 per game? And you all are worried about their pitching? Please….any of us could pitch for the Phils and it wouldn’t matter. We’d give up 15 (in the first inning) and they’d score 16.

My team is awesome too. Like an all star team. But it seems like they get Hot and cold together. I have guys like Chipper Jones, Hanley Rameriz, Chase Utley, Miguel Tejad, Ryan Ludwick, Nate Mclouth, Pat Burrel. If it were reg and not head to head Id be crushing guys. My pitchers are John Lackey, Scott Kazmir, Rich Harden. Shame this head to head junk

And I mentioned earlier today that no one except utley is hitting over .300. They all have BAs like .270/.280. But when they come up with men on base, they always get that hit. It’s extraordinary.

Yeah, I have no idea if he has any baseball skills. Love the swing.
