In a post to his blog for Daily News, Adam Rubin explains why Omar Minaya deserves a lot of blame, adding that it’s too easy to just scapegoat Willie Randolph.
In a second post to his blog for the Daily News, Rubin turns his attention to Pedro Martinez, writing…
“Let’s face it: He isn’t a savior. In fact, players such Martinez actually are harmful to the Mets in a way, and ultimately speak poorly of GM Omar Minaya’s soon-to-be-fleeting tenure…Martinez is a poster child for the Mets’ frailty.”
…go rubin…go rubin…go, go, go rubin…
wow, MC is basically calling for Omar’s head.
Wonder how Omar will feel about that.

According to the New York Post’s Page Six, Derek Jeter spent his Monday night at Manhattan’s Kobe Club having dinner with “Friday Night Lights” actress Minka Kelly. It was also stated that Kelly’s rep denies reports that the two were spotted together at The Empire Hotel.
According to OK! Magazine, Kelly recently stopped by Jeter’s Trump Towers apartment.
Kelly belongs to a very special club that Jeter knows intimately. Maxim magazine had told amNewYork that six of Jeter’s long list of exes had made their annual Hot 100 list.
If the report is true, Kelly would become No. 7, after Jessica Biel, Scarlett Johansson, Mariah Carey, Vanessa Minnillo, Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba.
so, what does she think about the golden thong?

She could do much better than DJ…I mean, either Tim Riggans or Jason Street would have been a better catch

i just don’t get what the attraction is w/ DJ…and he’s even uglier in person (didn’t think that was possible).

Ok so here I am, ready to have a nice little barf the next time I think of Willie, or Omar, or Aaron, and yet – AND YET – I’m stuck with the dilemma that today is the beginning of the Mets’ one and only trip to Denver this year, and HERE I SIT with tickets to all 3 games this weekend.
Whatever shall I do?
I’ll tell you what I do! DOUBLE DOWN, MY FRIENDS!
That’s right. I’m just back from the store with 2 fancy new Mets hats and a pullover jersey, totaling a nice round 100 smackers, for the SOLE PURPOSE of changing the Mets’ luck. Because otherwise I don’t how I could stomach them at this point.
When we look back on this season, and the Mets have fired Willie, hired Bob Brenley, and won it all, you can look back on this weekend as the turning point, and I will gladly share the glory with you and humbly accept your thanks for all I did for cause.
LET’S GO METS!

Don’t look at me. Really, I’m just pretending the Mets don’t exist right now.

Question. How long will it take me to reach 220th St from 55th St taking the subway on a weekday morning?

Is Willie or Omar driving the train?

If I had to make an educated guess, I’d say at least half an hour, maybe 40 minutes.
