Eric Simon has far too much time on his hands. He sleeps upside-down, keeps people as pets, and can be found on the internets at Amazin' Avenue or bothered directly at eric@metsgeek.com.

I think they did a great job of capturing the feel of Manhattan and New Jersey in GTA. I really don’t have that same feeling about Queens or Brooklyn though.

Poor Figgy. I guess you lose a fair amount of cred when you call out your opponents one day, and get cut the next.

Figgy will be back. My guess is as a long reliever. But he’ll have to wait until either Wise or Smith bomb.

You know that ITAM will be asked a leading question about Figgy today that will give him an opening to gloat and say something controversial.

He will, fatt. Unless he’s already gotten flak for yesterday’s quote. Then he’ll be more circumspect. He is perfectly capable of delivering Bull Durham cliches, he just doesn’t do it very often. Which is part of the reason why he’s so high profile.

And so nice of you to throw dirt on Figgy’s grave. As if it’s the last you’ve seen him this year. I stand behind him, crappy performance or not, that was an embarrassing display on a professional level

i am not too happy about the way the figueroa story is being played out. he was not awful; no better or worse than 90% of the 5th starters in mlb. i hate when lives & careers fall victim to the numbers game…

After about thirty-five years, I’m finally moving back to the New York area. We currently live in Kentucky, but I’ve just verbally accepted an offer to work in the Bronx. I’m looking to rent a house or something similar along the Metro North corridor, preferably the Harlem or New Haven lines. If any of you, my fellow Geeks, can advise me, could you please contact me?: ekelemen@windstream.net. There’s a whole lotta brains here on the Geek, and I’d like to pick some of them.
Delcos’s blog is predicting chin music for the next few days for poorly behaved Gnats. Think we’ll see a fight? Speaking metaphorically, Chester, I’m a peaceful man, but someone needs to feed this dog!

Can I continue to be outrageous and arrogant and piss people off with taunts like he does and still get a free pass from certain people here as just defensive and misunderstood by people out to get me?
No.
Too late, should have said it when I asked. HAHA!

Congratulations, Chaucer! I don’t think I know have any ideas about rentals, but I’ll keep it in mind.
Well, at least Sosa is gone.
9 hrs after my mandate, but still gone.

Thank you, Athena, and you, Ed. I’ll look for your email.
$ alert. Some areas be expensive.
Boy howdy. If Craigslist is any measure, New York area rentals account for a hefty portion of the GDP.
Seriously, what I’d like advice about are the towns on these routes. I know some about the boroughs but nothin’ about the ‘burbs. Google Maps and Wikipedia can tell a man only so much! We’ll be coming out in a couple of weeks to look around. The best part of it all, of course, will be better access to the Mets.
