Nelson Figueroa vs Hiroki Kuroda
(Baseball-Reference.com Preview)
Eric Simon has far too much time on his hands. He sleeps upside-down, keeps people as pets, and can be found on the internets at
Amazin' Avenue or bothered directly at
eric@metsgeek.com.
Peterson’s not doing interviews. The media even asked Willie if he put a gag on him. To which Willie responded that that was ridiculous and he doesn’t put gags on any of his coaches.
LOL Simons, you are butter again.
heh
must b the butterfat in the Ben and Jerry’s, one pint at a time
Hmmmmm….I wonder. I don’t think its Willie, he can’t even gag Wagner’s mouth let alone Peterson’s. Is it the FO?
thanks for the mental picture there
Free Petey!
Free Willie to work somewhere else!
LOL Simons
Nice touch on rediculous as well. Tris Speaker would be proud.
My baby said she’d meet me on the one after 909,,,,,
LOL! At the Free Willie mental imagine of Willie flying out to freedom over Omar’s overstretched hand like in the movie.
Oh I remember Tris Speaker. Young fella.
etc. etc.
Night Danny
Night Ramon
Night everyone else out there on the Sitemeter
I heard Peterson is in hot water with the front office, could explain the silence.
Nite Simons.
Why is the office blaming Peterson?
I still have an image of willie gaging his coach a la pulp fiction stuck in my head :P
Don’t ask me as new york beat writers :)
Nite Simons
Hilarity as always tonight
From what I’ve read they feel like the mets staff has stuff, but serious mental issues and peterson isn’t helping them with the mental stuff and is thus ineffective.
Maybe they should stop handing Peterson projects and headcases, haha
I think Peterson has done wonder with Perez and Maine. As for Pelfrey, that is more Omar and Bernarzard’s fault than Peterson’s. They are the dumbies who rushed him up sooo fast.
As I continue this conversation with myself…
I can’t really argue the first point. Sanchez, Heilmen, Perez, Maine, their struggles do seem to be more mental than physical. As to Peterson’s effectiveness/ineffectiveness on the mental aspects, I can’t say.
I agree Pelf is more of an seasoning issue. When he was tipping his fastball in spring training they should have sent him down to get things straightened out.
I think Peterson hasn’t always had the best material to work with in the starting rotation. If Tonomar could develop ML pitching prospects for him to work with, that would be another case.
We did a nice job with Mulvey but then understandably traded him away.
The regime prior to Omar didn’t leave him much to work with in the upper levels.
Yeah. But I still haven’t forgiven them for Pelfrey.
Alright Ramon and OMF and whoever else may be floating around on the blogosphere.
Night to all.
Night all
