i plan to boo delgado for the uneasy relationship he will have with his child during her teenage years. he is a good dad now, but i think he will start to slip when she starts dating boys. she will wish mike jacobs was her dad.

    lolpen

currently, there is no such thing as a bases-clearing walk. ollie attempted this, but it is not possible.

HAHAHA…I get the feeling he might figure out how to do it before the season is over

i dont like that everyone makes fun of ollie now

    leave ollie alone!

I’m quite sure Delgado’s daughter will wish Nady was her father.

load the bases and then wild pitch on a ball four that rolls to third base, DW double taps and throws it to RF. ryan church throws it to journeyman catcher du juor, but it goes off his brand new mitt.

Jessica, don’t let the facts get in the way of a reason to boo.

    Via MC Lite:

During a minor-league rehab game for St. Lucie tonight, Ramon Castro left after the fourth inning with what was described as ‘an injured leg.’

Castro had been 2 for 2 with two RBI before leaving the game.

According to Bill Metsiac, a reader of MetsBlog, Castro called the team’s trainer out during the fourth inning, “and they slowly left the field together.”

I think the Hulk will be very good. His face is a bit too CGI-ish, but eveything else is shaping up nice–espeically the end fight scene.

I am on my tomorrow around 12:15 to see if Iron Man rules.

I agree with Danny. There’s humor in the absurdity of suck that is found in a game like the one the Mets played today. There’s only agony in losing the way the Braves did tonight.

The thing with a blowout too is that you already got over it by the time the game is over. You’ve already accepted the probablity of defeat by the 7th-8th inning when your team is losing by more than 10 runs.

Braves lost a heartbreaker today? Sweet.

I agree about getting over the blowouts. Though I didn’t really get to absorb it, since I was not on the internet all afternoon or night. Maybe I still have to go through my seven stages of grief. ;-)

Anyway, just want to check in. I have a very early flight to Iowa (!) tomorrow. Talk to you all in a couple of days.

Yep, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. 1 more group project due tomorrow night, a take-home final over the weekend, a final exam next Wednesday, a paper due on the 12th, and I am done with college. Then I have an actuarial exam on graduation day and another at the end of the month - I already have the first exam under my belt, but if I can pass at least one of these it will really help in my job search.

The Yankees also put starter Phil Hughes on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday night with a strained right oblique muscle.

Hughes lasted just 3 2/3 innings in a 6-4 loss to the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday night. He allowed six runs and eight hits to drop to 0-4 with a 9.00 ERA after six starts.

“We obviously went through a tough time last night and he’s struggling so we’ve had some discussions earlier today and we’ll get together and have some further ones,” general manager Brian Cashman said earlier Wednesday.

The future is bright for you it seems.

In 2002, a Wall Street Journal survey on the best jobs in the United States listed actuary as the second best job, while in previous editions of the list, actuaries had been the top rated job (Lee 2002). The survey used six key criteria to rank jobs: environment, income, employment outlook, physical demands, security and stress. A similar survey by U.S. News & World Report in 2006 included actuaries among the 25 “Best Professions” that it expects will be in great demand in the future (Nemko 2006).
