    gotta love pagan

“What it’s all about is just being ready,” Pagan said. “You might be the biggest at-bat in the game, so you’ve got to really be ready for that.”

He’s saying all the right things, diverting talk away from himself and toward Alou, who on Monday he called “one of the best players on the team.” Yet he’s also well aware that his time in the starting lineup is growing thin — and with Chavez earning more and more at-bats right now, Pagan has already earned a taste of what his new role might entail.

For now, that hasn’t hurt his confidence — much less his conviction.

“When I started playing good, they saw that I could be the guy who could back up Moises,” Pagan said. “They picked me as their guy, and they gave me the opportunity. There were a lot of guys who were trying to do the job, too, but they picked me.”

Had lunch early so she could have a phone call from her future employer and so she could be ready for a meeting with her current boss at 1pm.

Now, though, I have four hours to kill before I go home and damned if I won’t be hungry at 5.

Pretty much but she’s constantly second guessing herself. It’s actually a pay cut but to a higher position.

ahhh word… sometimes pay-cuts are necessary when changing jobs to remove the glass ceiling. I always have to psych myself up for those resignation meetings, it’s like breaking up with a chick, gotta make sure it sticks the first time…

hahah She’s worried because she’s only been with the job for 6 months (we actually moved to D.C. because she got it) but it’s turned out to be VERY disappointing as far as what responsibilities ended up being her job. She was a business manager at a theatre in her last one and at the current one, she more often than not ends up being a glorified secretary.
