awwww yeah
Devin Harris (ankle) made it through a full practice on Wednesday, his first with the Nets, and could start on Thursday against the Bucks.
“We really want him to take ownership with this, we want him to feel comfortable with it, we want him to be assertive, having the freedom to make play-calls,” coach Lawrence Frank said afterwards. Frank went on to say that Harris will get the starting job as soon as he’s healthy enough to play, so this is obviously not great news for Marcus Williams and his owners. Feb. 27 - 3:03 pm et

hehehehe. i gotta run for a bit to talk to one of my bosses. bbs.
Dodgers manager Joe Torre said he told Nomar Garciaparra that he’d have the inside track at winning the starting job at third base over Andy LaRoche.
Figures. “I talked to him the other day,” Torre said. “I explained to him that being the veteran guy, he has the inside track as far as being the starting third baseman. But we will (start the season) with the best 25 (players) we can get.” Torre’s love of veterans also figures to be good news for Juan Pierre. The Dodgers have shot themselves in the foot a lot the last couple of years with their playing time decisions. Torre has his strengths, but breaking in youngsters isn’t one of them.

The Mets have whittled their farm system down to F-Mart, Kunz and Peña. They must restock. They have 3 first round picks.
Rudy is the Scouting Director.

Brian Schneider, who along with most Mets regulars didn’t make the trip to Lakeland, used the more relaxed atmosphere back at Tradition Field to seek out some friendly hitting advice.
His mentor for the day, Carlos Beltran, gave Schneider tips on how to prepare for each at-bat — how to maintain a more consistent routine from the time he steps into the batter’s box until the time a pitch is thrown.
“Just trying to get some pointers,” Schneider said. “Everyone’s different, so you can’t just do exactly what he does. Things that work for him might not work for me, but he’s definitely helping me out.”
Schneider cited Beltran’s help as one of the best examples of the benefits of becoming a Met. With so many new pairs of eyes available to critique his swing, his new teammates might just pick up on tendencies that his old teammates could not.
Especially when those new teammates are pretty good at what they do.
“I just love to talk about hitting,” Beltran said. “I was explaining to him how we do things, and we were sharing information.”

The Angels aren’t gonna get, like, a minute of playing time for Reggie Willits for… the next five years. Throw some money and middling prospects at ‘em, c’mon now.
Delgado, some C-grade minor leagues and a boatload of cash for Willits and Kotchman. Lets get this done somehow.

Hmm. I’ll have to figure out if my brother would like that. I know he loves Smash Bros. and that Mario Tennis game that was for (I think) N64.
its supposed to a very solid game, i remember the reviews were very solid when it came out.

Doing fine. What Job? Remember I go in seclusion when papers are due for school
Hows the talent at the office MFS?
let’s not get carried away timmy, lol
the job is okay so far….but very strange in many ways
the people are pretty good, but alas I haven’t found many Mets (or baseball) fans yet
By talent, you mean members of the opposite sex?
Let’s put it this way, it’s a sausage market.
And I have pointed this out to my boss (he’s also new and a friend of mine) and he replied, “yeah, no kidding…trust me, I’m working on it.”
Good to hear that Chris.
