Omar the Geat.
In Omar we Trust. As Mets fans we must not always rush to fire somebody for a very good season but a bad finish. After all, we knew that our pitching was bad. No matter how many runs the offense produced, the pitchers gave them back. This even made our decent pitchers look bad. They had to be perfect each outing. So lets look to improve our middle relief now that we have a competitive starting five and closer.
I grew up in Brooklyn and Queens and have been a mets fan since 1967. I now live in upstate NY, but i still avidly follow the METS.
What´s a geat?
;-)
Not to be nit-picking, but how does Santana-Martinez-Maine-Perez-El Duque only rate as “competitive”. To me our rotation prior to Santana was “competitive”, now it is dominate. Our pen already is better, it will get Pelfrey/Duque from the 5th slot, Wise is a nice addition for the middle innings and we have the variable of Dirty coming back as well.
Is that a Beowulf reference?
Beowulf was from Geatland.
