Good day for Mets Minor league teams except Kingsport.

Why did Guerra only go 3 innings?

  2. Comment posted by Danny on August 15, 2007 at 9:41 am (#462406)

John, they are probably starting to control Guerra’s pitch counts and innings for the year. He only went 3 or 4 innings in his last appearance.

Anderson Hernandez, is that really you?

Nick Evans is officially on the prospect radar for me. Carp needs watch his back, someone may pass him by, though it was nice to see that Carp homered and walked last night.

I can’t believe Ruben Tejada struck out twice last night. What is wrong with him?

I cant believe Ahern is approaching .300 lol

Not one word about Joe Smith’s stellar performance? What’s wrong with you people…lol

Evans is actually 6 months older than Carp and a level below….but still at 21 he is not old for High-A ball.

He is 18 months older than Carp was in St Lucie, but is seriosuly out hitting him.

AHern is auditioning for the Sept call up…..and let’s remember the kid has hit .300 or better in the minors the past few years……

Bobby Parnell sometimes gets me excited!

  7. Comment posted by john on August 15, 2007 at 10:30 am (#462491)

Ahern also hit over .400 in July and is hitting about .360 in August.

You’ll get them next time, Stegall.

    Parnell is exciting.

If Castillo does not sign with the Mets next year, it will be interesting to see how second base turns out. Yeah, AHern was essentially batless last year in the majors, but he seems to possess some offensive skills and he certainly has the defensive skills. I like Gotay and I like Ahern.
