Getting this one up early. A few notes:

Avery skipped practice due to a bruise on his foot from blocking a shot on Tuesday night against the Devils but he's expected to play.

Alfredsson, Spezza and Michalek are out for the Sens. Pascal Leclaire was due to make the start in goal tonight was injured in practice and the Sens have called up Mike Brodeur (no relation to Martin) for the game.

Well, the good thing is they're getting out-goaltended.

A good spurt that last 30 seconds. Ok, much better effort needed for the next period.

Gabby has had problems with breakaways lately.

Lunkwill Fook

Yeah, he's cold. And when he's cold, the Rangers got nothing.

Sens coach looks like J Bay.

Were those people named Brodeur?

As far as I could tell. The baby was actually a LaBrodeur but I figured it was close enough.

Garden ice is dreadful. I think the pond I skated on last weekend is in better condition .

COME ON !!!!! SCORE!!!

MyFavBaseballSquadron

Yeah this is getting frustrating. The last game was a well played scoreless game, this is just two teams that can't put the puck in the ocean. They're lucky Ottawa makes an extra pass on every scoring chance, they'd be getting their asses handed to them.

They really are letting the Sens get away with anything right now. Almost killed Anisimov there on that late hit.

MyFavBaseballSquadron
01-14-2010, 09:28 PM
That was a god damn elbow.

MyFavBaseballSquadron
01-14-2010, 09:30 PM
Terrible, fucking terrible.

Lunkwill Fook
01-14-2010, 09:32 PM
Whatever. What the hell is with the Rangers getting no more than two PP chances are game these days?

Lunkwill Fook
01-14-2010, 09:34 PM
Wow. No goals in 144.23 minutes.

MyFavBaseballSquadron

They did get one more PP than the Sens. At least the Flyers are losing. I can deal with losing when teams in close competition aren't losing but they better get their asses in gear for this weekend.

Lunkwill Fook
01-14-2010, 09:36 PM
Yeah, but that makes it four PPs in two games, one of which was killed halfway through. Are teams really not committing penalties anymore?

MyFavBaseballSquadron
01-14-2010, 09:39 PM
I'm fine with low PPs as long as they go each way.

Go 'Yotes (Desert Rangers), up 1-0 on the Devils,

Lunkwill Fook

The Rangers thrive on their power play though. Their offense really suffers if they don't get a few powerplay chances.

Ugh. Part of the problem is the team isn't hustling which forces the opposition to take penalties. Playing really passive hockey lately.
