I wish they would, but they don't seem to think it's that serious (and it probably isn't -- it's more annoying than serious, but it is hampering him), and right now, they need him. Plus I'm sure he is fighting to stay in the lineup -- too afraid of losing his position if he goes out for any length of time.

Gee has a tendency to have trouble in his first innings. Often he's trying to figure out what's working that day. Add in his being super-hyped to pitch at home (and probably in front of his childhood hero, Nolan Ryan), and he was probably overthrowing a bit in the first. Luckily, Jose bailed him out.

Most interesting thing Toby Hyde had to say was that Mets have totally revamped their pitching instruction in the minor leagues since the Alderson regime came in, and the pitchers seem to have cleaner deliveries and better mechanics as a result.

I wonder if this accounts for Gorski??? He seemed to implly it applied to Familia.
