Yo what up Geekers! Pretty gut wrenching one last night, eh? Saw that one at my bar w/ a fellow Met fan. Horrible part was around the 7th he goes "cant wait till the bullpen gives this away" as we laughed and cried simultaneously.;)

You know I was thinking that myself...your just not going to get much back IMHO. Might as well keep a young cheap arm especially w/ this teams financial woes.

Man, I say we should get what we can get while the getting is good.
I know pitching is scarce and I love Gee's approach and ethic, but guys like him are a dime a dozen.

what do you think he can get back? I think Pelf would probably get more via trade this year.

Bullpen help maybe?

DL, now that Donnie W is gone, we probably won't have a good draft either.

If the Mets can keep Jose and David...w/ Turner and Ike w/ Murph on the bench that is one solid IF. Crazy to think of them not retiring in 10 yrs not as mets.

The scoreboard was calling for noise. Every time Bay came up, the scoreboard called for noise.

First win I've seen at Citi all year. Have to say, the crowd wasn't that large, but it was REALLY into the game. Louder than some crowds I've seen that were almost twice as large. The people who are coming to the games now are largely the diehards, who actually care about the Mets. It's kind of nice. :-)
And I wouldn't trade Gee. Nor do I think guys like him are a dime a dozen. He's got great control; nothing fazes him; and he's tough as nails. If Pelfrey had his guts and toughness, he'd be a star. As between them, I'm hoping they trade Pelfrey, cause I don't want to pay him what he's going to get in arbitration, let alone free agency.
