According to ESPN, the Mets are interested in adding a second left handed pitcher in the bullpen to compliment Pedro Feliciano, and could look at Will Ohman or Joe Beimel if the cost is reasonable.

…i think this is a glaring need for the Mets, but i’d prefer it if their focus were on Beimel, as i think he’d provide a big boost for their bullpen…they have lacked a solid second lefty out there since Darren Oliver left…

Last year with the Rockies, Beimel made 71 relief appearances and went 1-6 with a 3.58 ERA in 55 1/3 innings, but Ohman made just 21 appearances with the Dodgers and went 1-0 with a 5.84 ERA in 12 1/3 innings.

Towards the end of the game the entire upper deck by us was empty. We were all messed up and dancing in the aisles yelling at D Bell while he was tossing in between innings. He heard us, looked up and saw us dancing. He pointed all the way up to us, threw us the ball and then he started dancing like us on the field. lol

One man was killed and another injured after they drove a stolen car through the entrance to Luke Air Force Base in Arizona and security forces opened fire, police said.

The car went through the entrance without stopping as required and security forces then used a vehicle to set up a roadblock on a bridge leading to the operational side of the base, near Glendale, Capt. Jerry Gonzalez, a spokesman for the base, told msnbc.com.

Police said the car drove directly at a security officer who feared for his life and opened fire.

I'm no olympian but I did have a strict diet leading up to my first NYC Marathon. After I crossed the finish line and made sure I didn't tear anything I walked straight to a McD's and had 2 Big Mac, large fry, chicken nuggets and a sprite. Damn that tasted so good.
